I was thinking about going into the city for dinner and then bar hopping. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of a good place to eat? I dont want anything too fancy bc im sure my BP will have me all dressed up. I heard of Lips and Lucky Chengs, but i would like other idea. TIA

Re: bachelorette party
What type of food are you looking for? I would personally hit up clubs in the meat packing district. They are hard to get into sometimes but with a pack of girls it should be no problem.

Re: bachelorette party
Johnny Utah's is fun....I went there one time to have dinner with a couple of friends and they were celebrating this girl's bachelorette it seemed fun..check it out http://www.johnnyutahs.com/
Mangia e Bevi - it's super popular for b-parties. The food is good (not great, but good), prices are reasonable and it's a lot of fun.

Hi there - I live in the city and have a bit of a foodie obsession so if you could give us an idea of the type of place you're looking at, I can try to offer a few suggestions. Lucky Chengs is an interesting place but really really gritty and I found it to be a tad depressing when I went years ago. I wouldn't recommend it for a bachelorette.
If you want to go out in the Meatpacking District like someone else suggested, you could do dinner first at Vento. It's a good, hip Italian restaurant but not too expensive or fancy. It's right in the heart of Meatpacking. There are tons of bars/clubs in that area within blocks of each other.

Ideally, i would like to have a dinner show. Thats why I thought Lucky Chengs or Lips would be good. But i would like other suggestions bc I've been to Lips for another bparty, and i want something new.
