I am planning my sister's Bachelorette party for a Saturday in August and need some help with ideas...
She likes to go out east, she likes spa days, she enjoys good food, but isn't much of a crazy partying type. We do want to go out at night but probably something more like a restaurant with live music type of place, not a dance club. It would have been perfect to head out east, spend the day at the beach or the spa, then go out to a nice dinner/drinks and stay overnight somewhere. But now that doesn't seem to be working out because most hotels are requiring a 2-3 night minimum, and staying more then 1 night is out of the question, so we are looking for something to do that's similar.
She kind of said she didn't want to do a whole wine/vineyard tour, and she is also not interested in going into Manhattan.
It does not have to be an overnight trip, we discussed maybe having a limo take us out east for the day, but I wouldn't even know where to go! We are also concerned about money and don't want it to be too costly. We ruled out Fire Island because prices there overall are just too expensive, plus getting there and back is another cost.
Sorry for rambling on about it but I could really use some opinions or ideas!?!?!
TIA!!!

What about spa castle in Queens? That's where we went for my bachelorette party. You pay a general admission fee and have access to the facility then you can purchase massages, facial, mani/pedi separately. Just a thought....

Not sure if she would like a place like FOUR in LI..its a restaurant, they play music and you have an option to go outside or hang by the bar. Also another good place I have been to is K-Pacho in LI and its a fun restaurant vibe..HTH

I dont know if this is up her alley... but I did this amazing bachlorette party through www.cityhunt.org It is a scavenger hunt in the city and it bar hops, but not the crazy drinking bar hopping kind of night, its competitive and a lot of fun. Just an idea... maybe it will work?

The Spa Castle in Queens sounds amazing, I never heard of it! I know you said price was an issue, but if you did just a day trip to Fire Island, went to the beach and did dinner/drinks it shouldn't be very expensive at all. This would save you the cost of a limo and the ferry isn't terribly expensive. I do this just on random days during the summer and it's not too much.
You could do the limo out east and maybe pick one winery so it's not a tour, and sit and drink. Most have live music and then you can pick somewhere out there for dinner. There are a lot of cute places if you go into the villages of some of the towns.
You could also go out east to Giorgios. Dinner, cute town for shopping, and bar/music not crazy club scene.
Good luck!

The Spa Castle in Queens sounds really nice, that might be an Option. I had never heard of it before, thanks! I'm thinking this or the limo out east maybe for just one winery and dinner/drinks...
Personally I LOVE that www.cityhunt.org idea!! I don't think she would though, she has something against going into the city LOL IDK...
thank you for the suggestions!

THIS! My cousin's bachelorette party was here and we had so much fun! There is so much to do there it's worth the entry price. There is a level at the top of the building that you can swim outside and there's a view of the bridge. Loved it!

My girls are taking me to the BSB concert in August. Were taking a limo there and will prob do dinner before. I'm not a party girl at all so this is perfect for me! This prob wouldnt work for you cuz the concert is acutally on a Tuesday, but maybe there is another concert that she would be interested in that would work for you guys?

I wanted a low key bachlorette party and we are going to a spa in commack where we have our own private room with food and drinks for 3 hours and then we are going home getting changed and going to the carriage house for dinner. It is a cool place to hang out and there is a dj there at night plus you have many options being in Babylon Village.
