Bachelorette party Poll- what would you rather do? UPDATED!!!

so, my girls have been talking for the longest about taking me to Vegas for my B-party. I am cool with it, b/c I think it will be fun. However, there are a lot of people that WONT be able to attend (too far, too pricey)

another idea that I have been thinking about more and more is, rather than flying to another city 3000 miles away, staying in MY city-NYC and renting one or two nights in an awesome NYC hotel- dinner, drinking, clubbing, spa days....things that we never do at home, so it will FEEL more exotic, but still close to family (especially for my girls with children) plus saving money on airfare and such....

what would you girls do?

so I spoke with my MOH today and she agreed with me that there are too many VIP's in my life that would not be able to attend, so she is going to concentrate on NYC.

so it'll be 2 nights at a fabulous hotel in the city(uptown, since i live and breath downtown every day!)- massages, makeovers, dining, drinking, and dancing!!! I can't WAIT!

Chris, I know it's not Vegas, but you and Alaina are MORE THAN WELCOME here too!

Jess: I felt the same way about Vegas. However, I really wanted to go! I dropped the idea out of consideration for everyone's pockets. I really like the NYC idea, in fact i was talking about this exact idea with my 2 MOH last weekend. I vote NYC!! I will plan a girls trip to Vegas for my 30th birthday in 07'!

Jess I'm having the SAME dilema. My MOH wants to take me to Vegas as well but I know many of the people I want there won't be able to make it. I'm just going to have a BIG bach. party here in NYC.

You can do both....

1) Go to Vegas with your close friends...and if they're up for the NYC gathering...great.

2) Do the NYC thing for the ones that can't make it to Vegas....

I would definitely go to Vegas and then have another shin dig with everyone in the city. The amount that you will pay for a hotel in the city will get you an airfare to Vegas...plus its once in a lifetime occassion to party like you've never partied before...

I had the same dilemma with my girls taking me to South Beach...finally decided on going...

I'm doing both! I am doing a 'Pre-Wedding' Vacation to Vegas on June 24 with 4 of my friends & my sister (MOH) who will be 21 then!

My bachelorette party will be early June - a Saturday night in NYC with the whole limo/club thing & a bunch of my friends!

So I can't decide for you ! Either will be fun

I would be torn between the 2 also, but if it meant more people attending then I would likely choose NYC.

I would suggest doing both - that's what I'm doing as well. We are going to Vegas in June and then in August I will do something local (NYC) for all those who either couldn't afford or didnt' want to go to Vegas...that way you get the best of both worlds!!

my fh is going to vegas he did it all himself bc his bm backed out! he got a house for rent for 735.00 with 14 guys it was ok! we were going to orlando, but too many girls can't go so we are going to manhantan for 2 nights while the guys are in vegas!

As much as I would love to say Vegas, I think it would be better to do NYC and that way more people can be involved and no one will feel bad if they can't go to vegas due to the cost...

I would rather do something here in NY where more girls can participate...ETA: I know there would be some people who would love to go, but just wouldn't be able to because of the cost and taking off of work...
