Bachelorette party Poll- what would you rather do? UPDATED!!!

so, my girls have been talking for the longest about taking me to Vegas for my B-party. I am cool with it, b/c I think it will be fun. However, there are a lot of people that WONT be able to attend (too far, too pricey)

another idea that I have been thinking about more and more is, rather than flying to another city 3000 miles away, staying in MY city-NYC and renting one or two nights in an awesome NYC hotel- dinner, drinking, clubbing, spa days....things that we never do at home, so it will FEEL more exotic, but still close to family (especially for my girls with children) plus saving money on airfare and such....

what would you girls do?

so I spoke with my MOH today and she agreed with me that there are too many VIP's in my life that would not be able to attend, so she is going to concentrate on NYC.

so it'll be 2 nights at a fabulous hotel in the city(uptown, since i live and breath downtown every day!)- massages, makeovers, dining, drinking, and dancing!!! I can't WAIT!

Chris, I know it's not Vegas, but you and Alaina are MORE THAN WELCOME here too!

i would prefer NYC for myself and If I were going to a BP- vegas although awesome...is too far and too much $$$ ...also and i dont know if it even matters, but since i would be going to vegas for the first time i would want to go with Fh..thats just me though

I personally can't stand Vegas, so I would rather spend time in NYC than Nevada. However, I think I am the exception rather than the rule.

I LOVE this idea! This way, people can come for 1 night, or the whole weekend.

As much as I would love to go to Vegas I would have to say stay in NYC!

Honesty, I would absolutely do both. I think I will! You've got to go to Vegas (all the men do, why not us). It's sooo much fun! You'll have the best time, if you're into partying.

I was posed with the same issue. My MOH was presenting us with a Bachelorette Party in AC to see Bon Jovi two weeks before the wedding. It would involve my sisters, FSILS, BP and a couple of close friends. It was a great expense to a few of them (one is buying a home) so we decided on keeping it in NYC and whoever can go to AC will go. This way nobody feels left out.

I would definately opt for NYC just bc you don't want to impose such a high $$ on friends especially those with families! Even though Vegas sounds like tons of fun, is it worth the $$ for some of the important people to not join you???

it's kinda weird, b/c it's not really my idea to go to Vegas, it was a few of my close friends (MOH especially) so I will feel I am disappointing THEM....but at the same time, 2 of my BM's can't go to Vegas for a weekend, and I feel badly leaving them out....

I guess I can talk to my MOH more about it. I am the first in my group of friends to get married, so they wanted to go all out. For myself, I can definitely party, but I can also be mellow (one of the bene's of having multiple personalities LOL)

I would say stay in NYC so all your friends can enjoy your Bachelorette Party.

If you want all your friends to partcipate then NYC is the place to do it. I am sure that you can take advantage of so many things that you guys would normally not do in the city-
