Bachelorette Party Protocall...

I started to plan one for myself..then i was told not to plan anything by a friend of mine, so im assuming one of my friends stepped up & is planning one for me. Here is the thing..we have ALOT going on in Jan & Feb leading up to the wedding.I have 2 children & something is ALWAYS going on with them..shouldn't we be given some notice of when our bachelorette party is going to be??? FH knows the date of his bach. party... so we're planning things around that...While i greatly appreciate my friends planning one - is it wrong to tell them I really need to know at least WHEN it is???

I don't think there is anything wrong with asking to at least know what day it is. I would just tell them that you have alot going on now and with your schedule you cant just do it on short notice. Maybe all the details arent finished and they havent picked a date yet. But just ask them if they can just tell you the date once they do find out

They should def give you some warning of when the party will be. I would just say something to your friends. You can tell them that they don't have to tell you what you will be doing, but at least when it will be so you can plan accordingly.

ITA! Let them surprise you but have them contact FH or other responsible adults to assure that childcare will be available.

That's really sweet of your girls.

My girls are planning mine also and I wanted it to be the same weekend that FH goes on his....I just told the girls to find out what weekend he was going and to plan it for the same weekend if possible. They were totally ok with it, but aren't giving me any other details. I don't think you should worry, they'll understand. And its totally not wrong!! Especially if you have children you need to know so you can make arrangements.

Bachelorette parties shouldn't be surprises. The bride to be should know when it is and perhaps where it is, especially if it is an overnight thing. I wanted to go to Atlantic City and I told my friends that. I actually booked the room for it. I think there can be some surprises along the way but I definitely think the bride shouldl be in on it. What if you plan to go to a male review and the bride to be is completely turned off by it. She would not be happy at her own bachelorette party. I say ask the bride to give a few choices and then plan for one of them.

I don't see anything wrong with knowing about your bachelorette party or planning it. I am definitely having a hand in planning mine, as I have to coordinate times especially since most of my bridal party is from OOT. Whatever you decide, have fun!!
