Bachelorette Party Question....

Bachelorette Party Question....

Now I know some of us won't be doing this for a while, while others will be having theirs soon. But with my best friend's bach party just passing it got me thinking about mine. We had two for hers, and although i had a blast at both, I just realized how much work/energy it can be to have two, and I felt at the second one the excitement was kind of lost.

Now my dilema falls as this. I have two girls in my bridal party that are out of town. My cousin just recently got married this April and I was in her wedding. They waited to have her bachelorette party until I got there (the weekend before the wedding). With mine, I really didn't want to have it the weekend before the wedding and was just going to have two in order to accomodate both. But I really don't like the whole two thing now.

So here are my options:

1. Have my bachelorette party the weekend before the wedding. If I plan ahead I should have everything done, and then everyone will be involved, no one will be left out, and there will plenty of time to prepare for it. And either way I will be going out the weekend before anyways (look at option 2)

2. Have it earlier (when everyone is not here). And then the weekend they come in, have everyone go out and do some sorta Jack n Jill thing (I want to take them out in the city)

3. Any suggestions???

The one suggestion I just got from a bride who just got married is DO NOT HAVE YOUR BACHELORETTE PARTY RIGHT BEFORE YOUR WEDDING. She said there is so much to do right before that she couldn't even enjoy herself b/c she kept thinking about what she still needed to do

I dont think you should have the bach-party the weekend before., you will probably have so much to do and will be running around., leave that time for last minute things.

I would do one bachelorette party and leave it open for them to travel down for it., if not no big deal..or maybe you can ask them for their input.

PS. They are planning it for you no? IF they are, im sure they will think of something reasonable.

That's what I am afraid of. I know I don't have to make any decisions now, but with all the planning of my best friend's everyone started asking when and where I want mine and it got me thinking.

Re: Bachelorette Party Question....

Well my FH & the boys are going to Myrtle beach golfing for 5 days. Depending if I can take the time I will go away for a long weekend mostly to Miami.

If I can't get a day or 2 off of work for it I think I would like to do a weekend in manhattan, maybe during fashion week..

Our wedding is a Sat. When out out of town BP is in NY the Thur before we will all go out that night together after the RD. Maybe even just have drinks together at the pub in GCM, somthing low key, just to visit and unwind a bit nothing too crazy.

why dont you have the bach party earlier and then teh weekend before go into the city with her but do something low key that won't take up the whole day like a massage ( NOT A FACIAL!)

My wedding is in March '08 and all the girls in my BP (9), mom, FMIL, FSIL and a few other people, are all going on a 3 night Bahamas cruise on Royal Caribbean in November!
