Bachelorette party questions

Bachelorette party questions

What kinds of bachelorette parties are you ladies having?

Is it okay for me to get involved in the planning or tell my Maid of Honor what I have in mind?

Who is supposed to be invited? Only people who are being invited to the wedding?

Re: Bachelorette party questions

I think as far as the planning goes, if you want to get involved, go ahead.....talk to your girls see if they wanted it to be a surprise. If they don't want you to plan anything, then you could always drop hints about I always thought I would do this, or something like this would be nice, and hopefully they listen.

As far as who you invite, I don't think there are rules here, or at least I'm not abiding by any...invite who you want

its not about following rules, its just that those people will then be hurt and wonder why they weren't invited to the wedding...I would find it weird if i was invited to a bachelorette party or bridal shower and then not the wedding. Sometimes people ask at a bachelorette party if they can bring a friend of theirs which is fine, but otherwise you will just hurt the persons feelings.

I think that with every pre-wedding event, you should only invite people you will be inviting to the wedding.
Oh and I also am planning on going to Vegas!!! My FH is going as well, but on different weekends of course!

The girls did most of the planning, however they kept me involved as well. I did not make any phone calls, but they made sure that what they were planning I was happy with. I had such a great night, I was so happy!!!! We did not invite anyone that was not invited to the wedding to my BP, however one of my friends did bring her friend to the party (which I was ok with), but she was not invited to the wedding.

I had a 'pole dancing' party bachelorette party. It was like 10 of my friends & they teach you how to pole dance. It was fun & the pictures are hysterical It was catered and it was just us and 2 instructors.

Oh dont even worry about the weather at all, it will be fine...You can maybe schedule it at certain times with things going on in vegas...Feb is good bc it is packed around the time of the superbowl and alot of things going on. March you have spring break and some people go to vegas

Tao is good, just depends on how much you wnt to spend, it can be expensive. ALOT of people go to mangia e bevi to eat dinner for their bachelorette party, its a very fun atmosphere and perfect for this type of party

For my best friend, we took her to Lips which is a drag queen revue/restaurant and then Culture Club.. It was sooo much fun in the kind of raunchy/borderline tacky bachelorette party kind of way, but since you are mentioning Tao, I don't think its the kind of thing you are looking for!

The only time I would NOT suggest would be July - Sept. I was in Vegas this past August and would NEVER do that again. It was 115 degrees everyday! And Yes it is dry heat, but heat is HEAT. The oven is dry heat and that's hot! I think if you are looking to spend your days by the pool and nights out, I would go in April. Probably the perfect time to go! January it is a bit cold there...not pool weather, but April is nice!

Re: Bachelorette party questions

i had a psychic party at my sisters house. i hardly drink and clubs aren't my thing, so my girls knew that's not the kind of bacherlorette party i wanted. i did give them the idea for a psychic party and the # of a lady that some girls used at my job. my BM's asked me what i wanted and what dates were good, they kept me very involved. i just had the girls in my BP at my party, but i dont see anything wrong with inviting other women you are close with (as long as they are also invited to the wedding).

same here! drop hints and say what is okay and not okay.

as for who to invite--your closest female friends and such! there are no rules or etiquette with a bachelorette party! most of the girls invited to my bach. party are attending the wedding...BUT there are like 5 or 6 that aren't invited to my wedding, but want to party out with me. (kind of friend of friends that want to celebrate with me and understand that cause of the budget we couldn't invite every single person we know!)

ETA: i forgot to say what we're doing! next month we'll go to a family style italian restuarant for dinner with all the girls, and then whoever wants to, can come out to a male revue show afterwards and see some male strippers get freaky deeky!

Re: Bachelorette party questions

Being that one of my BM's is under 21, I saw CaMacho went on a cruise for her BP and I said I would like to do the same. It's a one night cruise to nowhere on the Norwegian Dawn. I told my MOH and she consulted with the others and they booked it.

As far as inviting people, I only invited people I plan on inviting to my wedding. However, co-workers and friends who are on my 'b' list if you will (I hate that...I think it's so rude...be that as it may) asked if they could come along. I certainly had no objection to that.
