Bachelorette Party Suggestions

I have no clue what I want to do for my bachelorette party. I know I definitely do not want to do the stripper thing. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I am thinking about dinner and a club in NYC. Has anyone ever been to Lucky Chang's?

I have never been to Lucky Chang's. I want a spa day or something like that with my bridesmaids. Massages and manicures and pedicures, something like that

i have never been but my moh has and she says its awesome!!

for my sil, i planned her b-party and we had an AWESOME time...

first, we took a belly dancing lesson. then we went out for mexican to this reallllly good place. then we went to the donkey show (in case you've never heard of it, it's on the west side and it's the play 'a midsummer night's dream' set to disco music, and the audience is involved...no stripping but the guys are in little outfits on rollerskates...it was actually a really fun time and there were lots of other b-parties there too)...and after that we just bar-hopped in the city. it was really fun.

if you want to do a bar-crawl check this out:

recently for a friend we ordered in take out & then hopped in a limo to nyc. started out by seeing Naked Boys Singing - which was so funny & then headed to the Culture Club for drinks & dancing. ended the night with a sleepover at the bachelorette's house- very fun night!

I went to Lucky Changs for another b-party. I warn you, the food is TERRIBLE!!! They definitely put on a good show and it is entertaining, but be prepared to pay a lot of money for some really bad food.

I took a friend to Lucky Chengs for her B-day. It's fun, but overpriced. The food isn't good at all and the drinks are watered down. The check was so expensive. I Love Culture Club... cheesy 80's bar. Can't go wrong

Thank you for all of your suggestions. What is Mangia E Bevi? How was the Naked Guys Singing?

My sister lives down the block from Mangia e Bevi. We went in there once for a family dinner and it was fun. But it does get very crowded and it's not that big of place. but the food and atmosphere was great

Ditto and the service sucked. IMO - not worth the money. I hear Lips has better food which is owned by the same people. I've also been to Mangia E Bevi and that's a lot of fun..you eat, dance on your chairs and they make the bride do a bj shot. As far as shows...the Donkey Show & the 80's Prom were a lot of fun.

We did that for my friend's bachelorette... a night at the Borgota and then out in their club... LOVED it!

eta: the Tropicana is a gorgeous hotel, too

I have been to lucky cheng's 3 or 4 times and let me tell you...its really fun and the drinks are pretty good, but the food is AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You always feel like stopping for a slice of pizza after that dinner!! They also don't serve enough. The first few times I went there we got individual orders and the servings were fine, but then the last time I went we had a group of 15 or so and we had to do the 'family style' dinner and it was enough for maybe 8-10 people, so we overpaid and didnt really enjoy the food, but again, the show is fun only if you get a good seat!

Go to the lounges/clubs in the Meatpacking District and have a cool dinner there beforehand - Buddakhan is 'fabulous' - there are a ton of places over there One, top of the Gansevoort Hotel, Marquis, I can't remember all of their names, usually I just bounce in and out of them b/c they are so close....You will have a great time!!

If you want something a little more down to earth (where you don't have to feel like you have to get dressed to the 9), go down to the Lower East Side - just as cool, but not as upscale...

I went to the vineyards in LI for my bachelorette and loved it Just another idea...

We did something different for my cousin's BP a few years ago ....

We rented a van with a driver and went wine tasting. It was a nice relaxing day with the girls
