back from Bridal Reflections...

and i didnt find my dress but its okay.. im going to keep looking!


I was very disappointed in BR.

I came in with pictures of dresses that i liked (not that i really thought they would look good on me, just that she told me to do so) So she brought out some of the ones that i liked, which was fine, i got to see that they werent for me. But i kept pointing out things that i didnt like about the dress and things i did like and asked for dresses that might match those, but she kept bringing me dresses that i said i didnt like.

I had pointed out some of the dresses 2 other girls were trying on that I liked and wanted to try and again she kept bringing me dresses that i told her i wouldnt like. I was nice about it and tried them on anyway, because I figured, MAYBE they would look good OR MAYBE there would be something about the cut that would look good on me.

My appt was at 7:00 i was out by 730. She told me to look in magazines and find pictures or what matched what I liked... HUH?? I was telling her what i liked and I pointed out specific dresses that i wanted to try! I was really upset and wanted to cry.

There was another girl there who had a 600 appt who was still there when I left! That made me mad, I felt kicked out!

But anyway, im not going to let it get me down, i didnt expect to fine THE DRESS but i wish my experience ws better

On a positive note.. i was cheered up by going to look at BM dresses with my sis! we found 4 we liked.. but not set on

I am so nervous to go dress shopping because I am so indecisive- especially when it comes to clothes haha....so now I am nervous- all bridal stores are going to hate me..

But thats rude that the woman wasnt listening to you when you said you didnt like a certain style or dress...and then she goes and tells you to bring pics in next time of dresses that were similar to what you liked haha YOU WERE TELLING HER WHAT YOU LIKED!!! hahaha

aww- im sorry you had a bad experience. that was one thing i didn't like about them is that you couldn't look through the dresses yourself

I went to RK Bridal in the city.

Its a discount shop, so its not as nice as Bridal Reflections - BUT they let you run wild in the racks and pick out whatever dresses you want. They will help you with suggestions, but its not really known for that kind of service.

They will kick you out of the fitting room after an hour or so and it gets real crowded in the afternoon hours.

But if you want to try on a bunch of dresses, I would recommend going on a Sat morning. Thats what I did and I was able to try on at least 10 dresses and was able to really look through all the racks to see what my options were.

Catie, Dont be scared, but i would suggest places where you can look through the racks. that is what I am going to do next. I dont like them bringing me dresses i wanted so bad to just look for what I WANT like i do when i go to any store!

I wasn't very happy with them either. They didn't listen and pulled from the rack. I didn't care at that point because with that service I wasn't coming back. I have a positive too in that although they weren't helpful they weren't pushy.

anyway, yes .. it wasnt all bad .. the woman was nice and they didnt really push.

I have heard far more negative about Bridal Reflections than positive. I experienced it myself too when I went w/ my sister for her wedding gown about a year ago. I felt like a little kid getting in trouble when I looked at dresses myself.
They were pretty snooty too...oh well there are certainly many other places where we can be happy!

I am sorry you had a bad experience with them. I didn't like it when I went there either. Mind you I think i spent about 3 hrs in there. I saw some dresses I like but once I showed intrest in a particular dress the assistant manager was very pushy and was pressuring me into buying the dress. This was the first time I looked.

I really like Bridal suite of bayshore. I had a great experience in there. they were very helpful!!! and Kleinfelds is the best. Try those!
