for free?? That's great! We're going to maui and kauai on our honeymoon but we're staying at the hyatt (in kauai) and the fairmont in maui, or possibly the other way around, lol. Did you see any of those while you were there?

I LOVED all 3 of them-

Personally IF i go back, i am torn between the Fairmont or the Ritz. loved the beach in Fairmont-so there you have it if you want to spend a bit extra do the Villa & have your own plunge pool !!

I loved the location of the Hyatt Waikiki and the resort, i stayed there...although remember the beach is just across the street (think of South Beach Ocean Drive and walk to the beach a bit closer)

activities- BOOOOOOOOOOK NOW- bc some sell out 2 mth in advance and your TA should offer you these tours to get priority!

ZIPLINE-is so popular, if i had known my itinerary i would of pre booked it- if you happen to be there during a full moon the have midnight ziplining.

i would do the heli tour to Kona and the road to hana...i loved the snorkelin @ Molikini Crater in Maui too...but you can rent gear for 9 buks near black rock

so much more..hawaii is just full of activities..and don't forget SUNBLOCK im already tan -but believe me i had Sblock on...i was out on the beach one day 8am-10am i got BROWN! (bc i pre tanned in ny for other occassions) but the other girls got crisp....anyhoot..
prebook.any tour is worth it. it's Havaaaaiii

Yes, you got it right, GREAT hotels...

I think you should if you CAN add Waikiki- honestly anyone else here who has been can agree it's city like-but each island has it's own flavor-seeing the surfers on Waikiki Beach 4am EVERY morning is sick!! lol they r so dedicated and determined to catch the wave!

Hotel to stay @ in Waikiki- Helukelani (sp?) my fave- Moana Surferider Westin (only privare beach in Waikiki)

k, and anyone staying @ Waikiki- eat @ MAC 24/7 order the pancakes !!!!

I'm going to Oahu, the Big Island and Maui. If I remember correctly we're staying at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach in Oahu, the Waikoloa Beach Marriott on the Big Island, and the Wailea Beach Marriott in Maui. Any info on these?

Also, do you have any info on swimming with dolphins?

Thanks.

Re: Back from Hawaii!

I'm going to Hawaii in two weeks for work. I'm not going to see much. I fly there on a friday, work the weekend and monday during the day and back on a plane home monday night! I might stay one more day and try to take a tour, but i'm not sure. To go all the way and not see anything is killing me. I'll be at the Fairmont Orchard on the Big Island, so i'll give a review of that when i get back! It looks gorgeous!

Re: Back from Hawaii!

anyone research flights yet?
Looking to fly direct in June 09. Is it only continental out of Newark that is non-stop? Does $1000/each roundtrip seem high? Do the non-stop flights really book up one year in advance?
