Welcome back Denise!!! I am loving all the HM pics. It looks so beautiful there. It's weird I could have pictured you and your DH lounging on the beach snorkling and diving with bikins and boxers. But looking at beautiful buildings and eating amazing pasta is soooo much better..


Time to plan the 1-yr anniversary vacation to another European country.

You two look absolutely wonderful!


And your *DH* reminds me so much of mine - I mean in every way they are polar opposites but I mean whereever we go - he turns into a 'local.' it is the funniest thing. Last time he left Florida, we stopped at 'his' place to get Cuban coffee and Cuban Sandwiches and the guys that hang out there all knew him . . . its hysterical. He even wanted to buy a Hawaiian shirt to fit in with all the Cuban guys!!!! So when I saw the pictures of 'Euro Joe' I cracked up!!

Also, about the sitting and drinking. My brother, sister and I totally forgot about that so when my cousin visited we went to Starbucks - my brother, sister and I ordered and started to walk outside but my cousin from Sicily went and found a table and sat down. We all kind of stood around the table looking at him before deciding to sit down - it was such an awkward moment bc we had so much to show him we couldnt understand why he would sit to drink his coffee!

hahaha that is so funny, i guess they dont like to look like tourists. But yeah Joe can pass for alot of things so he gets lucky with that. He got so excited when they have him a flyer to learn english i would take pics all the time and he would say that now we look like tourists bc of me hahahaha

its so true though. One day we bought redbulls and walked with it and i said oh wow NOBODY else has a drink in their hand, and then i remembered that ppl stop at cafes to have soda even a bottle of water they stop to drink it. When we were at cafes at joe saw that he thought it was so weird. But then after we'd go on our walks, he'd say oh lets stop and have a Fanta which he now loves. I had a fanta one day with our meal and told him to try it and since then he drank it everyday even coming home he was like we need to get fanta ...your cousin probably thought you were all weird for wanting to walk with your coffee

i too can realte to u and matilde about the sitting.. i was in shock in argentina when we would have to stop to site and have water i was like a little kid lets go lets go .. adn want to walk.. but it was a BIG no no ...

also .. GET FANTA FROM GLASS BOTTLES!!! go to a little inky dinky bodega ... thats the ONLY way they will taste the same as over seas...

well we would stop after walking a bit so i didnt mind when we stopped. We didnt go on tours or go nuts saying omg we have to do a million things a day, we did things at our pace but we walked alot and would stop along for food, coffee or just fanta hahahaha. But yeah when we drank redbull that one time walking we felt so out of place hahahahaha

definitely interesting vacation, everything was amazing well except our last night in barcelona. It was going so well, we had a great dinner, went back to the lounge at our hotel which was a hot spot, but one of the bartenders came on her day off to take us out to local places and some guy tried to kiss DH, he threw his glass at him and dh got into a fight with them, it was crazy but thank god everything was ok and nothing bad happened. He was so angry and upset about it happening on our HM and now its the first thing he tells ppl once we got back

Tell me about it! It snuck up on me! I just looked at your pics...they are all so gorgeous! I bet it was so surreal seeing that all in person! Can you imagine that people from Europe come HERE to see NYC.....what do we have compared to that? lol
