Back from Ireland
Hi everyone,
Thanks to everyone who posted such encouraging and thoughtful words about my going to Ireland to give a lecture at Trinity College. I just got back and while my trip was really short (3 nights), it was very productive. The lecture was given 2 hours after I got off the plane, which was probably for the best - if I had had more time I would have stressed out or fallen asleep. Spent the next day in Belfast viewing an archive that was recently made available, and found great stuff to go in my last chapter for the dissertation. I had one day to hang out in dublin before I flew home and am back to teaching.
So thanks again for your kind words of encouragement - and since I was unable to get online for most of my trip - who won the diamond earrings???
