And I had so much fun!! I went to Lillette's and Gerri was so great to work with. She really helped pick out dresses that were my style. She also did a good job at getting me to try different styles.
I found two dresses I really love. One is an Eve of Milady. It was the dress I have been dying to try on. The one issue... my Mom HATES it!!
I also tried on a Paloma Blanca that was beautiful and fit so well.
I'm off to Pronovias on Friday...but glad I already found two contenders!!

YAY! Gerri is awesome and really knows her stuff. If YOU love the dress, then your mom should love it for your sake. Keep trying on stuff though; you never know what you'll find!!

If you LOVE the Eve gown, go for it! My mom thinks my Eve gown has too much detail and thinks it makes me look too 'hippy'......Ummmm it's a freaking BALL GOWN! She said to me after, 'I didn't think you wanted that much detail.' And my response was 'Nooooo YOU didn't think I should've had that much detail.'
I'm sure when the whole package is put together, no matter what dress it is, your mom is going to think you look beautiful....because you will!

I'm happy to hear you had a great experience!!! I had an appointment with Gerri at Lillette's last weekend. I loved her!!! I love Paloma Blanca dresses!! I tried on a bunch of them when I was there. That is my favorite designer right now. Which Paloma dress did you love???

My Mom pretty much said the same thing...I looked hippy. And then she said I looked like a midget! LOL. Although, the dress is the opposite, it's the one Eve gown with almost zero detail...except the bottom...and she thought it was too plain. I cant figure out how to copy and paste the dress...but it's E16 on their site.
The second dress...here is a pic of me in it...ignore my fat arms. I definitely need a trainer!!!

when i picked my dress i think my mom likes it but she def didnt seem wow for it(no tears or anything like that) and she told me she thought it was too expensive(dress was under 1000$) what matters is that YOU love it and feel beautiful!!

i think that while its great to have both you and your mom love your gown. it's going to be hard to please both of you. it's your wedding and you should be wearing something that YOU love. i'm so happy that you found something you like. post pics when you can.
