Chaotic is pretty much the only word that springs to mind... I wish someone had better managed the time bc I felt so rushed to open gifts and tons of people were leaving... Everyone I talked to says it was nice, but I somehow didnt feel that way... I dunno... I got pulled in every which way... Half my bp left early and really didnt help with much... Thank god for my MOH and our past liweds girl Maureen. Seemed to be the only ones really helping out So i left feeling a bit annoyed (one BM was acting highly inappropriately, shoving lingerie in my FFIL's face and practically kissing me on the lips and acting like a fool when she had to say like 2 sentences at the beginning of the shower... I dunno if she was drunk, high, or what)
I'm so grateful for all the generousity of our families and friends, but lots of things didnt sit well with me... And if this is a glimpse of how the wedding day will be, I'll go elope...
ETA: I'm not at all looking for a pity party... Just needed to vent

I am so sorry!!! I know you said you are not looking for pity but there is nothing worse than having an idea of what your shower should be and having it not live up to your expectations...
That one BM sounds like she needs to be slapped! How could anyone think that is appropriate behavior????

we got A TON of great stuff... like i was trying to be quick and it still took forever.... everyone was super generous... and like i said, very grateful for all of it... def unexpected...
Im dreading writing the thank yous
as for that bm, she was the one i was iffy on putting in to begin with .... today makes me thinks i shouldve went with my gut

I sure your wedding won't be like that. You'll be too happy at your wedding and involved having fun with your then DH, that even if things are like your shower, you won't notice or care!

awww no so sorry, s*cks that others had to make things chaotic for you. I hope you still had some what of a good time and enjoyed your gifts. You and your fh can go through the gifts together now and hopefully enjoy that part at least.

HAHA He was there... courtesy of FFIL who wanted to stay in the bar area of the restaurant and hang out... so they both already saw my lingerie ... womppp wompppp

I'm soooo sorry that it turned out this way!!!! I know you expected more. I know how it is to feel like you just want to repeat the moment and have it turned out differently. The only thing I could say is that it's all about the wedding and all the parties around are just to entertain you in the meanwhile!!!! On your wedding day you will be in charge of everything going just the way you want it so there's no chance that it'll be anything else but perfect!!!!! Just be thankful for all the gifts and look forward to getting wild and dirty at the bachelorette party where your BM's inappropriateness will come in handy

Oh and for the BM issue, I had one of my BM call me the next day and vent to me that she spent way too much money on the shower and she couldnt afford to buy me a shower gift I was panicing over it so I made my sis, my MOH tell me how much it cost per BM and it really wasnt that much. It made me feel like cr@p and guilty for even having a shower.
Just wait til your BM gets married and embarrass the hell out of her then

Yes, very rushed... I think i was more upset that I wasnt actually able to open up alot of the gifts while the guests were still there and be able to say thank you at that very moment ya know? Its so funny, im sooo used to running things myself that there was like a million things that I felt could have been handled differently.. I didnt want to have to tell my bridal party what they should be doing but when no one is helping out, and my poor MOH is stressed out, then thats my only choice... Oh yea and apparently I spoke to that inappropriate BM when I got home, and she added that shes making a speech at the wedding... which makes me shes been writing it... lol .... i need to be really drunk at the wedding or something
