back from Paradise Bridal!
So I just got back a little while ago, and I am exhausted! Quite a crew came with me.. my MOH, my Mom, FMIL, Future Grandma, Future Aunt, and 2 Future Cousins!
We all kinda were on the same wavelength though. The dresses that they had for Plus Sized gals were really not my style. I tried on a couple, but none of us really liked them. They were not what I was looking for, so I didn't really try on a whole lot of dresses.
However, we found one (which I found out was a Maggie) that was absolutely beautiful! It was a size 14, so I couldn't get my @$$ into it (lol), but they whipped out some crazy equiptment and like, strapped it on to me. I LOVED it.
I still want to go try some more on, but I think I may end up with that one. However, I'd like to try and find a store that has it, so that I could actually go and try it on before buying.
Does anyone know any stores that have plus sized Maggie Sottero gown samples?? I'm not even 100% sure what the name of my gown is... I looked at all the gowns on the Maggie Sottero website, and I found something that was very, very similiar, but I don't think it was it.![]()
Overall, it was a good experience. We had fun for sure. I wish there would've been more styles that I liked to try on, but that's OK. Also, I do NOT want a veil, and a couple of the people w/ me started to get a lil pushy about it. But I think the saleslady noticed I was getting a bit annoyed and mentioned it to my mom. B/c my mom came back and was like 'hunny you don't have to try on anymore veils.'
My mom has NOT called me hunny since i was like, 2.
All in all though, good day! They def have some beautiful dresses for anyone still looking, just the ones that I could get into weren't really my style.![]()
I know I'm being so wordy...but maybe someone out there knows which dress it is... it's a sweetheart neckline, has straps, lots of beadwork on top w/ 2 lines of ruching, the bottom is a very full skirt w/ pickups that have beadwork in the pickups. The sample was diamond white, but I think it's available in other colors. It's VERY similiar to the Mary, but the top is not the same. Any ideas what it might be?
