Back from South Beach with Pics and Stories!
Hello ladies. We had quite a weekend for our bachelor/ette party. Our friends outdid themselves with all of their thoughtfulness and $$$ invested. We had a rocky start and end, but it was still an amazing trip. When we got on the plane they told us that there might not be enough seats for us (there were 15 of us) because the flight was overbooked. My brother and his gf were almost left behind and two from our group actually did have to take the next flight. After stressing for the first part of the flight we decided to order drinks. Everything just seems rosier after drinks.
The second we stepped off the plane we all ran straight to the beach. The weather was beautiful. We stayed at The Beacon hotel which is right on Ocean Drive (its the hotel where scarface was filmed). We were in the middle of everything. At night we got VIP bottle service at Mansion (which is this amazing nightclub) after dinner and who do we see.....they end up putting us at the table next to the one, the only, the legend.....K-Fed hahahahahahaha. No offense to his fans, but we spent most of the night laughing at him and the situation. One of our guys even got on the couch to reach for his mic to give a shout out.. The other bachelorette parties tried to get into the area to be near him, so we let one bride and her girls join our table. After the club, we all ran back to the beach and swam at 5 am...some butt naked old man tried to join us
Next day the guys and the girls split up, guys rented a boat to go fishing (half got sunburned and sick from the combo of alcohol and sun) the girls went to a spa for massages and shopping. We went to LeSpa and I got the most amazing massage of my life. I have never been more relaxed. The girl was so good. Everyone was so burned out from the night before
that night we decided to skip clubbing that night (plus it burned a major hole in our pockets) so we went to dinner next door at Avalon instead, who knew we'd have to go back there to stay overnight the next night after we found otu all flights to New York were cancelled. It was crazy. Our luggage was checked onboard already and they wouldn;t return it, so everyone had the shirts on their backs and their wallets. We were stuck til the next day, nothing was available. So what do you do in a situation like this???? (I would have been pissed, upset especially if I would get in trouble at work....luckily I'm a teacher so I'm done with that....but I was worried about everyone else)...so I would have been upset in their place, but instead they all ran shopping to go out that night again.
We stayed at Avalon and went shopping to nearby shops for clothes for the night and loads of underwear for everyone. Went out to some Italian place with a cute waiter, but couldn't understand a single word he was saying. Speaking of cute waiters...the waiter at the restaurant associated with The Beacon hotel was really really cute and friendly. He was flirting, but it was harmless. So anyways to wrap this up, the next day we all got on separate flights, some stayed later to swim, others hightailed it out of there. So just as we were about to leave our flight got delayed by 5 hours, which ruined our plans so I booked another flight to change but we had separate seats. Here's the punch line....when we got to the ticket counter I explained to the woman that we are on our way to get married (didn't mention the part where its 26 days from that point) but we would love to sit together, so since the flight was overbooked ( as usual) we got upgraded to first class
The trip ended with a bang.
