Back from the Greek Isles

Hey Ladies!

Some of you know that I was cruising the Greek Isles on a biz trip all of last week. I promised a full report to the ladies that plan to HM on the isles.

Just a quick synopsis:

1. Each island I visited (Mykonos, Crete, Patmos, Rhodes & Santorini) were gorgeous and unique in there own way.
2. My favorite island was Rhodes though Santorini is a close second) Rhodes has some of the best shopping I've ever experienced (if you like boutiques this is the place to go). Santorini is one of the most romantic places I've ever been to.
3. If you choose to cruise the islands make sure you pick an itinerary that gives you at least 2 full days in Mykonos and Santorini. The half day spent in these islands was not nearly enough.
4. If you visit Santorini aviod Thursdays like the plague!!! 8 ships were docked in the port and there were thousands of slow walking elderly folks everywhere!!!
5. If you cruise the islands be careful of the cruise line you choose. As Americans we are accustomed to certain things and styles of cruising. The European operators provide the bare minimum. I do recommend cruising with an American cruise line ie Celebrity, Seaborne, Royal Carib. The ship I was on is operated by a Greek cruise line and I literally had to shower over the toilet..good times!!

I am going back to Greece and touring the country by land next month so I will have more detailed info on that area.
