Just got back from the yankee game, my dad had an old ticket from last season that got rained out so he traded it in a couple months ago for tonites game, just on a whim
WOW...turns out the place was sold out!!!! A-Rod hit his 500th Homerun and they had the whole award ceremony for him, he got special gifts like a tiffany platter engraved, and the home plate he crossed over in a special case.
Also got to see the new pitcher Joba, he was amazing, saw some amazing plays from melky and abreu!!!! So exciting!!!!
i thought he hit the 500th the other day.. wow.. maybe i dreamt that? hahaha

LOL youre not the only one, i had to check the date of the post lol...I was like i am sure he already had hit 500 before tonight, trust me all week before it happened it was what Fh was waiting for and he made a big deal when it happened since its his favorite player lol

LOL...Today was the first day the yanks were home since A-rod hit 500 HR. So it was pretty exciting to see the ceremony, he is the youngest ever to hit 500!!!
