Back to the drawing board with hair....

I think my original ideas for hair (half-up/half-down) is just too much for my dress and veil.

So, I need some ideas...

you need something pulled up high, with a lot of volume in the front to get away from the 'bowling ball' effect you always talk about.

the sides should be pulled up along the line of your checkbones to accentuate them and the back should be pulled up to meet the hair there, with volume in the front

sorry- unless you can read my mind LOL

basically the updo should sit on your crown and not in the the back of your head. where is the pic of charlize...I think that's the one I am thinking of.

you would have to try that one- it may be hard b/c the hair is pulled a little more downward than straight back or up...let me see if I can find the one I am thinking of

Re: Back to the drawing board with hair....

regarding this so called 'bowling ball' efffect maybe this will help you find something...

stay away from slick back styles without hair touching your face, do not add width around the sides of your face, this will make the face appear to be wider than normal, straight, flat bangs will only shorten your face - go with side bangs

NO CHIGNONS!

I really like this pic of Mandy (or Hilary, I cant' tell which one it is LOL) maybe a little less '50's but the shape is good for you....

the other one is kinda like what I am saying...basically you need height.
