anyone else experience this? I had 7 guests back out of my wedding the past 2 days. I really hope no one else cancels after friday - which is when I hand in my final payment!

we had about 4-6 back a few days b/f the wedding
some for valid reasons , like illness.. some for questionable, flakey reasons

I had a few people backup right up until a couple days before and after my final count and payment was in. I gave a number a little lower so it worked to my advantage. I just had to adjust my seating arrangements and give new charts to hall the day before. For me all reasons we valid reasons...mostly illness, miscarriage, pregnancy complications, etc.

We had abut 15 of my husband's relatives call me the night before to tell me they all had the flu and woudn't be coming. 15???!!! Luckily the hall didn't charge me...a few tears never hurt anyone!
I only had 130 people originally coming.
I certainly hope that doesn't happen to you!

We had 2 people back out so far.... but then again we are still getting RSVP's. LOL!!!! Gotta love it.

I still have about 235 people attending - so it's ok that a few backed out.
I just think some people are flakey and that is just the way it is...it's ok - as long as I am not paying for them ahaha.

Too close to my wedding, but I have had bad excuses from people. Just say no, or you have another wedding, I am not going to check. One person told me they have a 30th bday party that day, another told me that they have to give a speech that night and this is my uncle....come on now, you can cancel that one....
I hate excuses, just apologize and that is the end of it.

I had this happen. Between my response date and yesterday, I had 12 back out. I really don't understand people sometimes. If they're not sure, they shouldn't send in the response card.
