OK....so FH literally just bought Peter Pan peanut butter the other day and last night we were eating it with apples (yummy!)....so tonight as we're watching the news we see the warning about salmonella and Peter Pan p.b...............and guess what, the one he bought has the manufacturer # that's being recalled!!!! grrrrrreatttttt!!!!!!! so....how long would it take for illness to surface if we were going to have a problem? So far we both feel ok, but we were wondering
did anyone else eat some risky PB?? the # starts with 2111 (it's on top of the lid).

I NEVER buy Peter Pan... until last week. Ours DOES start with 2111!! My kids have already had about 5 sandwiches from it! They aren't sick but I am throwing out the jar... don't want to press our luck!

that is what's so funny......I can kind of blame FH for being picky with his PB and possibly exposing me to salmonella lol!! I already had Jif in the house and he wanted something creamier so he bought Peter Pan.....but then after he bought it he realized he really wanted Skippy (he couldn't remember what his mom buys lol.....I didn't realize when I go food shopping I should double check with what she buys first!!! what a little mama's boy!!!

Im not sure either how long, but i dont think it was in every jar with that code. If it was contaminated i think you would have been sick by now. think you'll be ok.
I just packed up the lid from mine( that we didnt open yet) and am sending it out in the mail today for a refund.
