I know this is going to sound terrible..but I think I am going uninvite some people! (I have not actually sent them an invite, just a save the date.)
I have two friends I was really close with for sometime. I invited both to my shower and b-party. They did not come to either or respond. I really feel like it would be a waste to send them an invite. A
Totally terrible, no?

I am almost feel like it's not me who is deciding. Like, if someone sent me an invite to something and I could not attend I would atleast tell them. Not totally ignore it. I guess I am just fed up with 'friends'.
It seems like they have taken absolutely no interest in coming.

Re: Bad Etiquette
if you're done with these people and never want to talk to them again, i see no problem with not sending them an invitation.

I think if you are ready to call it quits then who cares, dont invite them. But if you are angry and hurt you will have to cool off before making the cut and decide whether you want to try to salvage the friendship ..
FYI - i had a friend who I thought for sure would come to my shower. She never came and never said a word to me about it since!! Until last week I heard from a mutual friend that she was upset at me for not thanking her for the gift she sent ... I NEVER GOT THE GIFT! So it was just a misunderstanding ...

Re: Bad Etiquette
Im in a similar situation with a girl I know. I think I'm just going to send the invite. And when she doesnt respond be done with her. I did remove her 'and guest' which I had originally planned on inviting her with. And since she wont know anyone I cant imagine her actually coming by herself.

Re: Bad Etiquette
i almost feel the same way, i have about maybe 6 or 7 friends that havent contacted me since my birthday (in april) and dont return calls, messages or anything from me, unless i run into them somewhere.
i can almost sense the fakeness. wait til we go through 'can i bring a guest' and my answer is gonna be no.
