bad experience...

bad experience...

My best friend is getting married this weekend and we got our bridesmaid dresses at Lillette's (where she got her dress)

Purchasing them was no problem. They arrived in a timely manner, but when it came to alterations it was terrible!

The top on my dress wasn't fit right and I was pretty much flashing everyone. The seamstress looks at it and says 'it looks fine'. it's not fine. If I bend over at all (even the slightest movement) you could see everything. I had to be firm and almost rude with the woman to get her to fix it!

Finally I got the right fit.

One of the other bridemaids also had the same issue. They don't seem to listen to what we have to say and love the phrase 'there's nothing more I can do'. (she ended up with cups in her dress when there was NO mention of cups ever!)

Just an experience we had. I wanted to let you girls know to be careful.

I think that has happened to a few of the 06 brides. So sorry you had a bad experience.

Just tell her to be FIRM with them. I would have her (if possible) go with the girls when they go to get altered. (if there are bustles or anything to make sure they're done the same).

Bottom line...don't take anything from them that you're not happy with!

Wow, that's horrible. Seamstresses can really suck!

If you cross Merrick Road to the dry cleaner next to Carvel there is an excellent seamstress there.
