Bad experience this wknd

I already wrote a long post in the Brides Helping Brides forum, so look there if you want more details.

I had a terrible experience at the Bridal Suite of Bayshore this wknd. Sales associate was not great, salon itself was disorganized, and the customer service was terrible.

Two of my girls got their dresses there and I considered canceling their orders last night b/c I was so aggravated, but my sister (MOH) calmed me down and told me it's just the bridesmaid dresses. It's not like I ordered mine from there.

The best part was when I was telling FH about the whole experience, I told him that I warned the owner that I would say something on this website. He started cracking up and told me I dropped the LIWEDDING bomb

Lol. Your FH sounds like mine. He always says 'put it on the boards!'

I am sorry though, that you had such a bad experience. Some people don't understand that they're in the customer SERVICE industry. I was considering going there, but don't think it would be worth the trip from queens after hearing this.

Thanks for the heads up!!

Oh no! I'm so sorry you had this experience. I was planning on going there because it came highly recommended by a friend, but then I saw some other negative things about it. I might reconsider now. I hope the rest of your experience goes well.

ugh. I'm so sorry to hear this! This is the second store I've heard of treating BM dress experience like garbage. I had an AWFUL experience when I was BM in my friends wedding in 2010 at paradise in patchogue. They were just AWFUL to us.

at least your FH was able to make you laugh about it!!

My friend bought her dress at Paradise Bridal. When I got engaged, she told me not to go there, that she had the absolute worst experience with Paradise. I stopped in there anyway to try on dresses and had a really good experience. I didn't purchase from them because I found my dress elsewhere but I didn't think they were so bad! It surprises me that I have heard so many bad things about them.

I had an awful experience at Paradise Bridal for a friends wedding. When we got our BM dresses back, they were completely wrinkled and one of the girls had a lipstick stain on hers!

Well. With us... where do I even begin.

First... I was MUCH heavier back then so the biggest size was a 24 and I was like a 28 so they had to order fabric for panels. Fine. Whatever. The seamstress said she would need about 3 inches for each side. 6 inches total. TELL ME WHYYYYYY they ordered a total for 5 YARDS of extra fabric for JUST 6 inches. MEANWHILE... They were going to have to hem off AT LEAST 8 inches from the bottom of the dress. So I got charged for the 5 yards of fabric. Alterations were capped at $150 which wasn't bad so I just kept the alterations there. Big mistake.

She BARELY hemmed my dress even though when I went for the fitting she pinned it and everything... when I was walking down the aisle I had to literally KICK the dress out so I wouldn't step on it. And I was wearing 3 inch heels. By the end of the night it had holes on the bottom and the chiffon was ripped.

THIS was the dress. You see that middle spot where its like twisted nice and tight? yeah... mine was loose and messy and barely twisted. I didn't have a chance to look at it when I picked it up because it was all steamed and pressed and stuff and they took my money, gave me my dress and shooed me out the door.

So they put the 6 inches of panels in... with ya know... FIVE yards of fabric... so you would THINK... there would be left over. Enough to create a modesty panel for one of the other BMs. They said there wasn't. I was LIVID. Again I mentioned the fabric from my hem and again I was told 'there wasn't enough'.

Sorry this rant was so long but honestly... when it was all said and done... this dress cost me almost $500 and I wore it once. I was pissed. I'm still kinda bitter about it.
