BAD experience with a groomer!!

BAD experience with a groomer!!

We took Char last night to get groomed at a new place (our old place is good but they are not open on Sundays which is the best day for us). Well, they SHAVED HER!!!!

They left her beard and face but basically just shaved everything else. I had a bad feeling when I said 'the Schnauzer cut please' and the lady looked at me like I had two heads.

Sorry, I had to vent... I just came home a little while ago and the more I look at her the more I am getting upset.

Does anyone have a good groomer they can recommend? Again, the first woman was good but she is not there on Sunday and she is booked a lot and we call last minute sometimes.

She is all bald

i've been using Setauket Dog Grooming Shop for over a year & Elizibeth (owner/groomer) is great.
631-751-3977. Its a tiny, no-frills shop- but she always does exactly what I want, and my doggie is always happy to see her, her rates are really reasonable too. Good Luck!

it's a little far from my house but if she is reasonable and it's a great place i'll consider it- i'm desperate! believe it or not, groomers are hard to find! who knew?!

is she there on sundays? TIA!

I had that happen to me once too and it is awful It is upsetting..I was embarassed to walk my dog when he looked like that!) I have a bichon. Anyway, not sure where you live, but I use Clean as a Whisker in Ronkonkoma (Hawkins Ave) and they are great and my dog is really happy going there!! They always do exactly what I ask, and they call me if they have to deviate from the original plan in some way

AWWW Dani-I 'm sorry they did this. Some people just really $uck! It's too cold out for her to be shaved anyway. Well, I am a groomer a my family's place in East Northport-Unfortunately I don't work Sundays though-I am there Mon-Sat, but I do have Early AM and evening appointments-FM if you want more info. Lots of hugs for your little girl.

Sammy goes to Animal Crackers in Glen Cove

I'm sorry they shaved her - her little butt must be freezing in this weather! You're going to have to buy her all new sweaters now!

LOL Julie! I thought of you when I saw her!!! B/c it was soooo bad.... It was a place on Jericho next to Habberstaad Nissan. I have to say- they did a great job on this Yorkie but I guess they are just not familiar with schnauzers??

I love that place!!!!

My Mom takes her cats there!!

But they are too far for me-- that is why I am having trouble!

It's like a 25 minute drive to take Char to the groomer
