I hate when vendors send emails with poor grammar!!! It makes them look really uneducated and LAZY. For instance, my DJ keeps sending emails with complete overuse of ellipses and random capital letters. I just want to shake him and say, 'YOU'RE A PROFESSIONAL! PLEASE PROOF YOUR EMAILS!'
I overlooked quite a few vendors because of this.
Does anyone else feel the same way?
ETA question!

Yes, I feel the same way. One of my in house vendors had spelled the name of the venue wrong on their website. That turned me off right away.

That is a huge pet peeve of mine. It really makes me doubt the ability of a person.

omggg I'm such a stickler for bad grammar and incorrect spelling. I get it all the time at work and I have to fix everyones emails and memos all the time.
I would totally overlook a vendor if their emails were full of mistakes. I also consider it unprofessional.

Agreed! It is one thing to email a friend or something in a hurry, it is completely ridiculous to email a client and spell things wrong/use incorrect punctuation!

My e-mail has my name in it and I have totally dropped interest in vendors who send it back Kristin or Kristen in the e-mail. I can't stand when they send me e-mails with mistakes all over the place!
The worst one IMO was when I got an e-mail from a DJ company and they spelled it musik twice. And no it was not some cute gimmick to match their name or anything.

OHHH EMMMMM GEEEE ... such a pet peeve of mine too. I mean, some words are trickier than others (it took me a while to get 'boutonniere' down when I first started working as a florist) but that takes the cake.
Althuogh he'd probably take the 'kake' instead if he were a baker...

I got an email from a make up artist that was almost unreadable. Sorry, not getting my business. I'm sorry if it sounds rude, but you need to have simple communication skills. It's what I teach my students!

I just can't believe that businesses honestly send emails like that!!! I wish I had gotten an email from him BEFORE my wedding, so I could seen that he would treat my wedding the same way he treated the emails -- crappy!!!

i HATE that! That makes me look at a 'professional' differently. I am so over cautious of this that if I don't know how to spell something I just google it so I don't look like an idiot! LoL They could do that too!
Our DJ spelled our town wrong on all our forms. Haha I just laughed Coram is not spelled CORUM
