BAD NEWS- GOOD NEWS... but either way poison ivy STINKS!

Well, i have had quite a week!!!

I am officially NEVER gardening again!!

I had this wierd rash on my arm... turns out it was POISON IVY, that spread all up and down my ENTIRE arm... somehow got to my belly, all over and started creeping down my legs!!!

I have never had it before.... YUUUUUCK and SOOOOOO Itchy!!! and it is sooo hard not to itch, but you cant because then it spreads... i finally had to go to the ER sunday night to get medicine... so now it is getting better, and not so itchy anymore....and DH has been soo nice to me because he used to get it a lot as a kid and knows how bad it can be... i wish is was always this nice when i get sick or get a migraine!

but the GOOD NEWS is that i had my pre-op for my LASIK today and everything is a go!! Im getting it done next Tuesday I cant wait!!! And i got to drive home in LOVELY giant glasses today since they had to dialate my eyes!! I looked SOOO ATTRACTIVE!

you HAVE to let me know how the lasik goes - i want to do it so bad!!!

AAAWWW, feel better Cortney, but at least you're under dr's care to get better! Good luck with the lasik!

I'm goint to Dr. Basilice in Setauket... 751-2020... Jen2999 had it done there also!! IM SOOOOOOOOO excited!! I just wish I went sooner... the consultation is free... and today the pre-op wasnt as scary as i thought it would be... they even touched my eye and i was fine with it!

I hope you feel better-just be happy you got it after the wedding. I got it once so badly, my face was bright red and was swollen for a week! And to top it off my mom made me go to school like that!!!!!

Aw! Just remember the drops every hour and the paranoia of not rubbing your eyes/putting eye makeup on is all totally worth it!!!!

I am so sending dr bascilice a thank you when I get them for helping me to 'see' to the other end of the aisle!!!!

Looking back I cant imagine having to deal with contacts on my HM...and I even got my contact restrcition taken off my license the other day!!!!

I have wanted to look into getting this done as well but haven't have any recomendations from anyone. Can you ladies give me an idea of how much the surgery is total?

Ugh Cortney - sorry that you have poison ivy...I'm going crazy with the few mosquito bites that I got the other night - so I can't imagine what it's like to be itchy all over...hope you're feeling better

I am feeling SOOOO much better today... the steroid medication they gave me really made the rash fade quickly... still itchy but not nearly as bad as the other day!!

snydl40 I CANT believe your mom made you go to school with it all over your face!!! What a meanie!! I would have been sooo upset!!!


Thumbalina.... dont even get me started about the bug bits!! Whever I step outside i get attacked by those too! My legs look like i was someone's breakfast, lunch and dinner! Thank god i got married in the spring and didnt wait until the summer... i would have been a mess!!!


Less then one week until i can see my feet in the shower!!!
