Badrutt's Palace in St. Mortiz, Switzerland...

St. Moritz is one of my stops on the honeymoon...and I orignially wanted to stay here, but my travel agent persuaded me to stay at Hotel Steffani because it's right in town, whereas Badrutt's is far, and in the snow (that's when we'll be there) it could be difficult to get to and from town.

Anyone ever stay there? The pictures are just so amazing of this place that I'm thinking of saying, the heck with the difficulties of the town, I want to stay anyways!

Is it worth it?

These are pics of Badrutt's Palace.

Re: Badrutt's Palace in St. Mortiz, Switzerland...

In St. Moritz, there are some very high-end (big $) choices (Badrutt, Kulm, Suvretta, and more), all can be found at:

http://www.lhw.com/

For quite a bit less $ in St. Moritz, I have heard that the Waldhaus am See is a nice place to stay.

But I prefer Bardutt....
We are staying there for 2 nights on our Honeymoon!!! (since we are so far north in Italy, we are going to make it into Switzerland too)

we may also go to Luzern
In Luzern they have a place called The Hotel:

Re: Badrutt's Palace in St. Mortiz, Switzerland...

Switzerland - my favorite place in the entire world!
Is the palace worth it - Yup! :-)

If you are in Northern Switzerland stay at the Three Kings Hotel.

But while you are in St. Mortiz you are only a hop skip and a jump from Lugano! You MUST go to Lugano. This is the best little town in the entire world!

All The Best!

Re: Badrutt's Palace in St. Mortiz, Switzerland...

Forgot to mention -at Badrutt's Palace make sure your man has a jacket with him. No jacket no entering the dinning room. And at night you must wear a jacket where ever you go in the hotel! Very formal, very elegant!!! If you have the extra $$$ get a suite. You won't be disappointed!

Re: Badrutt's Palace in St. Mortiz, Switzerland...

Lugano really is amazing isn't it?
We are personally not stopping there this time b/c we will be spending most of our Honeymoon in Italy and Lugano is like an Italian town in Switzerland!!! It is definitely worth going to though...beautiful lake, good food, small pretty town!!!

I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY HONEYMOON!!!!!!!!!!
