Bag Piper

Anyone having a bag piper at the church? If so who are you using? TIA !

MY FH is 100000% Irish and since he is a member of the FDNY Emerald Society we are having a bagpiper through the FDNY Emerald Society Pipes & Drums. I know he's getting his friends from there to play at our wedding as a favor but I'm pretty sure they are available for hire.

i want them...my FH is FDNY, I think it would be cool. Do you have them for just after your ceremony?

Actually I don't think we are having them at our ceremony, bc we are getting married at my church with is a Greek Orthodox Church. We will prob have them come either during CH or right at the start of the reception, right after ppl get into the main room after CH.

What house does your FH work at? Mine is at Ladder 21 in Hell's Kitchen.

Cool! Tell your FH to contact them and tell them to hook you guys up! Also, not sure if you're going to the St Pats parade next week, but thats a great place to meet bagpipers LOL!

we're not booking one... but I know my father already has a pipe band ready. We're members at the AOH div 2 (well he's still a member, my membership expired) and I'm 99.9% sure he has AT LEAST one piper, one snare and the base drum (who's a good friend). he'll prob have them play as we exit the church, thats what he did for my brother.

I really want indoor bagpipes, as our church offered them, but FH said no.

Never wanted to meet bagpipers before but now I know where to meet them!! HAHA
