Bagels & Newspaper

Bagels & Newspaper

I want to give guests a small bag of bagels and the newspaper as they leave the reception which is not over until 1AM. Does anyone know how to get the next days paper delivered to the reception site? Also who could put the bags together as they would need to be done that night. I have seen this done before so I know its possible just have no clue how.

I think you would have to contact the newspaper company you want to use.

I wanted to have a bagel cart also, but it just didnt work out. I went to several bagel stores that claim they 'cater', but when I inquired about it, they had no idea what I was talking about. If you do find anyone that does this, please let me know!!

As for the newspaper, I think its as easy as contacting newsday and placing an order for an early edition which is printed the day before.

I love the idea of a cart. I bet that if you ask your caterer, that they can arrange it for you for a cost.

Have you tried asking at your hall? I am sure they would be more than happy to help ($$$). I think I was told that the early paper was an option...can't remember if it was Harrison House, Harbor Club or maybe the Carlyle?

This is such a great idea for a favor. I wish I had good ideas ! Too late for me, I can't fit bagels into little cinderela slippers.

Have you seen where they customize Newsday with your picture on the cover? That is a really cute idea.

I think that you can go through Newsday and order the next days paper and have them put a picture of you and FH. I'm not sure if its through Newsday directly. I had a cousin who did that but she got married about 5 years ago.

Newsday will do a photo cover for you. There is a min. charge and it is not inexpensive.
I did Krispy Kreme donuts as a favor and they were a huge hit. I think the bagel and newpaper is a great idea

Any idea how much it costs for Newsday to do this? It sounds really cute!

I will call my cousin who did this a few years ago and get the number for everyone. It is a really cute idea to give out to people as they are leaving the party. You can even have the valet put the bagels and coffee in the cars and your guests will receive them once they leave.

I know some newstands, and 7-11 sometimes get the next days paper the night before. Maybe you can have someone from the bridal party run out for you to get them?
