I will call my cousin who did this a few years ago and get the number for everyone. It is a really cute idea to give out to people as they are leaving the party. You can even have the valet put the bagels and coffee in the cars and your guests will receive them once they leave.

I wouldn't have the valet put the bagels in the car - JMHO.
Some people dont like their car smelling of food esp. if it is a new car!

Has anyone figured out how to get Newsday to do the cover for you? I have not been able to call but I looked all over the website and found nothing.

We have the catering hall doing the bagels. We negotiated it when we booked the hall. Your cateing hall may also be able to get the newspaper for you. I know Harbor House offered that

I just got a Front Page Cover order form from Newsday, but I have to say I'm not too sure about the cost. It says $25.75 plus $4.24 shipping and handling ($30) but that must just be for one cover. I'm not sure about the cost if you want more. You have to fill out all your info and check off the occasion and everything and send a photo along with payment. I guess that's not terribly helpful but I tried!

How about Krispy Kream. They come and hand out donoughts and coffe to your guests out of the PT Cruiser as they leave your reception site. I was at a wedding this past weekend at John Anthony's where that was done. It was great.

PS John Anthony's is fantastic! Food and service were great.

OK, here's the scoop. I called newsday and after being transferred a gazillion times, I finally got the answer. She said they no longer do personalized front covers. No big deal..... They also told me that they will do special deliveries to catering halls, but that it would be that day's edition, with the exception of sunday. If you reception is on Saturday, they will be able to deliver the early edition of sunday to you. That's all the information I could bleed out of them. Hope that helps!
