Has anyone used bagpipers? How many? Did you have a drummer?
Would one bagpiper be enough?
I have been quoted from 200-350 for each. Anyone get a better price?
Thanks

im not sure what the going rate is. my dad belongs to the fire dept and one of the guys plays the bagpipe so its my dads gift to us (i dont know how good he is either so we shall see) I feel like that isnt too bad, considering what they charge for a vocolist, or saxaphonist for the cocktail hour..sorry i couldnt help.

Is your dad doing it alone? That is an awesome gift! Anyone showing up in a kilt? My FI's uncle is.
I love it!

Re: Bagpipers
We were quoted $250-300 by two of the LIW vendors. I can't remember which was which. We are ending up having a friend of the family do it I think.

Re: Bagpipers
My cousin played the bag pipes at both of my brothers' weddings and will also play at mine -- outside the church (and then he also usually plays a couple of songs before dessert at the reception, but that's a long story / family tradition). My feeling is that one good one is usually enough. I actually don't think it's worth it to have more than 2.

I think I might have only one play in front of the church before the ceremony and after.
If I can get a good price.
Thanks for the info ladies.

My brothers only had one and I'm only having one. I really think that's all you need!

The cheapest quote I received was $200. Is that good?
