Bah humbug!

Bah humbug!

Last night was the most annoying night of my life! We came home and found out Christmas tree had fallen down. We figured the base wasn't big enough to support such a big tree so we picked it up and fixed it temporarily and then went to Home Depot to buy a better stand. It was on the floor again when we got home, this time with a few broken ornaments and water spilt everywhere.

After struggling for about 20 minutes to get it straight in the new stand, we finally get it standing again. I started to redecorate it since most of the ornaments had fallen off. Once I got the majority of the ornaments back on the tree it fell yet again! More ornaments broke and more water spilt everywhere. There seemed to be something wrong with the trunk of the tree so we ended up taking everything off and throwing it out. I was so upset b/c it was our very first Christmas tree and we had to get rid of it before Christmas.

So after work tonight we are going back to Home Depot to buy a new tree and decorate it all over again. I told FH we are soooo getting a fake tree and a pine scented candle next year!

oh man....i hear ya though....fh was all about getting a real tree but ours is crappy too...we joke about it being the unloved tree that nobody else wanted. the ornaments are too heavy so all the branches are hanging down and it doesnt seem to be drinking much which means its prob dead already! i soo wish we had a fake one...I am sick of cleaning up the needles too!

You have to look at the trunk and make sure its not overly crooked. I lot of people don't know that, but most trees don't grow straight. My mom is insanely critical when we buy a tree, but she has all glass ornaments and she had a tree go down on her once. She's never going to let that happen again.

I actually saw that Febreeze makes a pine tree scented spray... I was going to get it but FH REFUSES to have a fake tree so I guess we won't need it.
