Bahamas All-Inclusive? HELP!
Hi guys - we are starting to take baby steps towards honeymoon planning and FH seems hell-bent on The Bahamas (Atlantis - **** the Travel Channel). I have many questions: What re the best islands in The Bahamas (Paradise seems nice), how easy is it to island hop, how does one island hop, what are some comparable resorts if Atlantis is too expensive...and finally, he has been told by several sources that all-sinclusive is the way to go. Can anyone tell me what all-inclusive includes?Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Bahamas All-Inclusive? HELP!
All Inclusive usually includes, all meals, drinks, hotel transfers.. its the best.. To be honest, I just talked a friend out of going to the Bahamas and staying at Atlantis cause it's soo **** exepensive! They are going to Punta Cana instead and paying A LOT less..

Re: Bahamas All-Inclusive? HELP!
Actually, I like Nassau better than Paradise Island. While it is nice, the only thing on the Island is Atlantis, and while it's really nice to visit...it's just not my thing because it's very Vegas in the middle of what should be a quiet paradise. There is so much to do on Nassau, and if you stay at Sandals, Breezes, or any of the hotels along the strip, you will have easy access to everything on the island as well as Paradise Island. If you stay on Paradise Island, you can Island hop by cabbing it to Nassau, (it's about 10-20 bucks depending upon where you want to go).
You can take a day trip to Exuma or Harbour Island by either making a day of it and cruise, or a short charter flight. There are packages for these probably available through the hotel.
All-inclusive is easier in the Bahamas, but not totally necessary. There are tons and tons of great restaurants and the islands are so beautiful that there is a ton of stuff to do. Most all-inclusives mean exactly that...everything. Drinks, meals, tips, included. Some all-inclusives just mean meals and soft-drinks, and wine (not liquor), so make sure they tell you.

Re: Bahamas All-Inclusive? HELP!
Try Sandals. It includes meals, drinks, watersport, tips, anything and everything. I believe it is cheaper than Atlantis. You even get a credit towards their spa and you choose a gift of either china or crystal.

FH may balk at going to the DR, but the pics look gorgeous! I will talk to him...how many days/nights were you there? We are looking at a long honeymoon - like 10-12 days at least, which is why we don't want to stay in one place for that long!

Re: Bahamas All-Inclusive? HELP!
I have been to Bahamas twice. About 7 years ago I stayed at Breezes and loved it. It was my first Carribean vacation. I just went to Sandals this spring. If I were to choose for my honeymoon I would definetely go with Sandals. It is nice when it is all couples. Good luck! Oh....on our last night there we went to Atlantis to get a quick look and it was beautiful!!!Welcome New Vendors
