Bakery Help Please!

Bakery Help Please!

Does anyone have any suggestions for bakeries that will make me a small Mets groom's cake that is not crazy expensive? I really want to surprise FH with a Met's groom's cake, but I don't want to spend more than $400. Is this even possible? Our RH is providing us with our wedding cake in our package, and I think it would be very expensive through them. Any help at all would be appreciated!!! TIA :)

I am going to plan on using Audreys in Sayville for his groom cake - we spoke with Nancy - she has been a big help so far

I've talked with one of the vendors on here - Cakes by Mona - about making a mets cake for FH. she quoted me $200. there are pics on her site of a mr. mets head cake but i talked with her about doing a round cake with the logo and then scattering small mocked up baseball stuff - balls, bats, bases, etc around the base of the cake. check her out if that price is better

Audrey's in Sayville quoted me $110 for a grooms cake in shape of a corona bottle (not 3D though), they have a book w/ pictures of many cakes they've done.
Check them out!!!
Good Luck

If you're reeaaaaaaaaally creative and handy in the kitchen, you could probably make it yourself. There's a whole bunch of baking tools in Michael's and AC Moore, just depends on how steady of a hand you have. It'd certainly cut costs!
