Does anyone have any idea what is cost to add a second floor to a ranch? Im just looking for a ball park figure. Thanks

FBIL & FSIL got a quote of around $100k just to dormer out their cape. That's not including inside construction once the dormer is complete.

Fran - Ive been shopping myself! So far the quotes have ranged from $40-100k. Some estimates are very detailed - (ex: they include the # of sockets to be installed) - which I prefer. The $40k is just a shell and the $100k guy never came to the house - he quoted us over the phone on our 1st call.
