Curious as to what everyone else is doing. IM not sure if i want heels or ballet slippers. I am not one that wears heels often and i feel as if my dress wont feel complete without heels. but i also want to look and feel great... and walk correctly. So many decisions. any thoughts?

Re: Ballet slipper or heels
I am using heels. I am used to walking in them and also I couldn't switch cause otherwise my dress would be dragging on the ground.

I feel the same way. I think I might just get a pair of nice heels with nothing higher than 2 in. and then get cute flats for pictures and the reception. I'll be much better off in flats. Plus then FH will seem even taller.

I thought the same thing. I thought without heels it wont feel right SO...I plan on wearing heels for the ceremony but bringing an extra pair of shoes..or slippers..or whatever is comfortable..just in case I want to change at the reception.

Re: Ballet slipper or heels
I'm tall, so I'm doing an 1 1/4 heel, then changing into ballet slippers for the reception. And for pictures as well, cause I'm taller than Darren.

Re: Ballet slipper or heels
I had bought a great pair of heels but when I tried them on, I was the same height as FH and he did not like that lol So ballet slippers it is!....I got a great pair for CHEAP! It's the cheapest price I have seen so far
Just a tip here.......my friend who is taller than her DH wore ballet slippers and regrets it. She said that the video from the ceremony portrays her as 'waddling' down the aisle and that was her one decision that she regretted.
Although ballet slippers are very comfortable, I would do a test walk. JMO
As for the the reception who cares what you wear on your feet, as long as you can dance and are comfortable!!

I found a shoe with a very tiny heal - I have this fear that I will trip (I have weak ankles and am afraid i will fall)

Re: Ballet slipper or heels
I'm wearing slippers all day. I would love a nice pair of shoes but I know I won't wear them after the ceremony so I'm going to have my dress altered to fit barefoot so it won't drag and so I won't step on it all night.

Here are my shoes... a few brides on here wore them so they can't be that uncomfortable...
My whole wedding/rception will be on grass so heels wouldn't work...but FH is 6'4' & I am only 5'...so i found a great wedge heel to give me height plus they are soooo comfortable!

My MOh's mom and sister both NEVER wear heels, and they wore these shoes to her wedding and were comfortable the whole time.

Re: Ballet slipper or heels
I am probably going to do a low heel at the church and for the pics then at the reception, chinese slippers baby! All the way...I would say do what is going to make you feel great....if you dont feel complete without heels, then practice walking in them! I am used to heels so its not a big deal for me.

I'm def. wearing heels! I would never feel right otherwise. I'll have slippers too just in case but I'm pretty used to the heels.
