Originally I was going to have cellophane and inside a bunch of candy. But then I went to Coral House on Sunday and saw a couple of ideas and now I am confused.
We are having 8 balloons for each centerpiece. I just need some creative ideas for the weight part. I did see at a party that I peeked into where the weight was a plastic tray with sections that has all sorts of candies in it. Which we liked alot. Just wondering how the balloons would be attached to it. The tray had a clear lid over it. The other was for a 1 yr old kid party so that wouldn't work for us. But still very nice. I am not finding any pics online of anything eye catching.

Re: Balloon Centerpices--need help with weight part
my sister worked for a party place and what they did was wrap a rock in nice colored cellophane paper and then what you do it wrap the strings from the balloons to the rock weight and then curl the string..

I did a search and found a few differnet kinds. I really don't know what you are looking for, but here they are.
Re: Balloon Centerpices--need help with weight part
My friend did the rock wrapped in colorful cellophane, surrounded by a styrofoam circle...the styrofoam had chocolate lollipops stuck in it..all the way around. Very cute.

I am looking for something they can use. Be candy or something. Nanjoe are those pics you posted weights for each balloon? Thanks everyone!

oh I'm sorry sweetie.. Have you tried going over to Party City or a party place?? I think that a bottle of wine or champage would be nice, no?

You can tie them to a bunch of flowers that people can take home, like an individual rose

when we did our balloons we used M&Ms (or herhey kisses, jordan almonds, etc) inside tulle and tied the balloons to that.

Wacky thanks for those pics! I like the one at the bottom. I kind of want the weight or base to be big sort of like that one is. Where did you find them?
Karen I had tested what you said: placing candy in tulle and now I thought of something maybe placing the candy wrapped in the tulle in a basket. I have to play with some of these ideas and see some more pics before I figure it all out. Thanks ladies!!
