i dont think you're allowed to release balloons- birds can eat them and die.... look into something a little more eco/ animal friendly-

I looked it up because I thought it sounded like a nice idea. Most places that do this will provide biodegradable balloons that are environmentally friendly. They just tell you they can't have ribbons or strings on them. Tried to attach a pic but its too big. Google balloon release images and a few will pop up. It looks really pretty.

and it isnt illegal in ny i looked that up. and the biodegradable ones are animal safe without ribbons
