Bamboozle fest last night!!! SOME PICS

FH and I went to the Bamboozle fest last night!!! it was SO much fun! it was funny bc when we got there the place was a mess....garbage everywhere and supercrowded! and...we felt SO old, lol! i used to be into that scene back in the day....like 5-10 years ago, lol) it was an all day festival with TONS of bands....bands you prob will know are....
*taking back sunday - def. almost got trampled during this one....which was what made me feel REALLY old! when i was younger i prob wouldnt have minded being in the middle of it all, but as soon as the crowd started closing in on us....i started having a panic attack and i was like get me the F out of here (plus i had my little sister with me so i would have felt responsible if anything had happened to her)....good thing we moved further back bc a lot of ppl got her. i have had bad experiences in the past with crowds like this.

*Linkin Park (our fave!) i LOVE chester from linkin park and he can scream his a** off live! their live performance is amazing! we have been to linkin park concerts before but this one was crazy since it was a festival, there was TONS of moshing and crowdsurfing, people even started a fire next to us...and everyone was jumping over it. security came to put it out.....and then they started it again like 3 more times again, so they had to keep coming back to put it out.) but it was kinda funny, it didnt get out of control though so it was fine.

all in all we had tons of fun! it was cool that i brought my little sis (i had waited for the day to come that she would be old enough to come out with me to things like this fo so long! lol --she is 16, i am 25....so there is a big gap) and she brought her boyfriend who has never been to concert before!

I used to be into that 'scene' too a few years ago.

I used to go to warped tour and shows in the city all the time. FH and I started to feel old too.. and over the years the shows got more and more crowded.

I actually was punched in the head ON PURPOSE once by some guy who wanted to get in front of me and I couldnt move to let him. I stopped going.

It was a lot of fun for awhile, and I have tons of pics. mosty great memories.

that *****! yeah there are tons of ppl who purposely will punch you which i can't stand! . i used to have an ex who was really into that and being there kinda gave me flash backs of that (which made me quite sick) but it was still fun. that was why we stayed in that back lol.

I went to warped tour for 8 years in a row. things just got way out of hand. Police were pulling people off the line before the day even started.

The last few years we just hung out in the back.. thank god for a camera with a great zoom. It was much more enjoyable.

i know this was a different 'scene' but i used to go to clubs and have a great time and have dirty stinky smelly people all over me and not care - i used to share water with strangers! but now if the place i am in gets too crowded, even at the mall or something i have to get out of there!

my fh's nephew played the show opening act (their band won a contest) we didn't go because we personally i am not into a big show thing and never was. I head it went over well. It looked pretty cool.

I get what you say about being old though i am 28 and i only go to a handful of shows now whereas a few years back i was going four a week. I was also the jerk in the pit doing spin kicks and 'dancing'. BUT i am way to old to do that and i hate having something bruised for more then a day now. I left my pitting days long time ago. I also think now I rather drink and be social at a show then just get aggression out at a show.

I use to go to fests all the time though but not popular music fests just mainly ohio death fest, maryland death fest, new england hc fest, etc. It crowded but all of us are into the music for the most part and live it as a lifestyle. Its just a diff feel then going to a vans tour or something like that. FH was into going to bigger fests but he says he will never do that again after woodstock and being trampled and almost burned trying to get a little girl out of the way of the mob.
