Band

Can anyone recommend a good wedding band that can play a variety of music? HELP!!

I have only begun my search, but I have found these boards VERY helpful in narrowing it down. The ones that have gotten great reviews are:

We are using Soul Revival for our wedding. They are great, we saw them at a friends wedding last summer and they played lots of different kinds of music. We loved them. Their website is www.soulrevivalband.com and they are a vendor on here too. They have been so easy to work with, and I have had alot of questions. Hope this helps. FM me if you have any questions.

We used Ken James Orchestra (worked with Bruce Saunders) and we couldn't have been happier. DH has a great ear for pitch and was happiest with them. We also met with Hank Lane and looked at videos/listened to some CDs of other bands. Our guests could not stop raving about the band.

We used Timepiece, of Franklin Wayne Music. www.franklinwaynemusic.com. They were AMAZING! We got calls for weeks after and some people we know even booked them after our wedding! They have one singer who is a dead ringer vocal for Billy Joel...when they did New York State of Mind I think our guests simultaneously went 'Holy S*T!' Plus, we had lots of Spanish and Italian music. They were a pleasure to work with!

We are using Times Square Orchestra, their showcases are great, I can't wait until next week to hear them for 'real'

eta: my boss actually recommended them to me and she said that they got everyone up to dance including the 90 year old grandma

We're using Arcadia of LI Paramount. They do showcases pretty frequently - check for the schedule on their website. I'm really excited to use them!

RENEGADE--they just played at my wedding last friday & people are still talking about them. I believe they are having a showcase this week or next...highly recommend you can't go wrong.
