I got quoted for a 6 piece band for 5300. It was actually through a friend i trust but i think it still might be too hight. It covers keyboard for the ceremony and cocktail. What do you think, am i paying too much?

Wedding Bands are expensive -- that doesn't sound like too much to me.

the wedding bands that I quote were like 6,000 to 6,400. So I dont think that is a bad price

thats what they go for...mine is 7500 but it is a little larger (i think like 9 piece)
i think they are worth every penny if you get a good band though!!

I think thats a lot for a band. But I also know most of them charge a lot! So you prolly won't find one for much less.

unfortunately, that's average... you might be able to do a little better, but not by much.
i was lucky and got a STEAL! i was a winter day wedding and booked them over a year in advance and got a 6 piece band for $2500

I think that price is right on target honestly. My band quoted me $5700 for 7 pieces. Bands tend to be price - you can get a great DJ for much less if that helps!

I think that's a really good quote for a band. They tend to be really expensive. I was quoted 8500 for the band I'm using, and that's cheaper than the other bands I was looking at.

That sounds about right. I have a 7 piece band for cocktail and reception and they are costing us around that price, we are now thinking of including them in ceremony which will be extra.

Nope that sounds good to me!!! Mine is an 11 piece band and i'm not even going to post how much its costing us b/c it makes me sick thinking about it lol lets just say its costing us about half of what its costing for the RH !! But bands are expensive ones I looked at were in the $5500-$7500 range before we settled on the band we signed with

my 6 piece band is costing about 3K and that also includes keys for the cocktail hour i got quotes from other bands that went as high as $7200 so while it is a lot of money, it's not over priced as far as an average goes...

Sounds like a good price. I have a 4 peice band with a dj and im paying just under $3000. Let me know if you want there info. They are really good.

Very normal price. We are paying more b/c we have an extra hour added on to our reception. That was about the price we were quoted from 2 bands for a 4 hour reception.
