Band or DJ

Band or DJ

I'd prefer having a DJ at my wedding but my FMIL insists on having a band. I personally dont really enjoy weddings that have bands playing. What would you girls prefer?

I'd prefer a band but FH wanted DJ - it's the only thing he asked for, so we are having a DJ.

I know there are lots of people who prefer DJs, you hear the music exactly how you know and love it. I personally prefer bands. I think there's something about live music that makes a party. I don't mind songs being played slightly off from the original. Live music gives the room an energy that a DJ really can't. JMO

I am the person you are talking about...I am the type that I want to hear it how I know it and not in someone else's version and I also want to make sure they have everything not just a selection that they know how to play. JMO

We are having a DJ - it fits better in our budget and we will hear our favorite songs by the original people.

Now if we can just find someone...

I agree with nferrandi....if the boands don't know the songs, which most of them prob know any song that was ever popular, they usually will learn it for you...JMO

i personally prefer bands. i LOVE live music. if you would really like to have a DJ, then don't let anyone elses opinions sway yours.
