Band or DJ

They're 2 totally different things.. How do I pick?

you need to weigh your likes and dislikes with both. Keep in mind $$$ could really help you decide. THat is what did it for us. What you get for your money is also another factor? Another thing is think about weddings you went to were they had both then compare what you liked. hope that helped some.

My vote definitely goes for DJ...the songs will sound the way they are supposed to and the DJ's are usually cheaper.

Every wedding I have been to with a band has been awful...people don't dance and the songs never sound the same!

- Cost (Bands are usually much more expensive)
- Space (If your hall is small, you can't always fit a whole band)
- Style of wedding (formal, informal)

We went with a DJ and were very happy. We could pick all the songs we wanted and they sound exactly like we wanted them to sound (sometimes a band will do different versions).

But my girlfriend went with a band and her wedding was amazing too.

I had always thought that I would have a band for my wedding...even picked them out...Visions by the way (saw them at a wedding I went to and they were AMAZING!). Then when I got engaged and started looking I realized that I couldn't really afford a band. In the end I wound up deciding that I didn't need to spend $6 grand on entertainment and that a $1500 DJ would do just fine. I guess my priorities changed.

$6,000!!!!!!! O.k. I think it has been decided for me LOL Visions is who I was looking at too. I didnt know they cost that much!! DJ it is!!! LOL Thats was easier than I thought it would be.

The DJ is actually an area I saved money on. My DJ is High Voltage Entertainment (Vinny) and his reviews are great on here. He was great when we met him, his prices can't be beat and we are looking forward to working with him!

You should definitely try to grab him if he is still available for your date!
