Band Prices

I was wondering what people are paying for bands. We haven't started looking yet, as I was wanting a DJ, but FI wants to investigate bands first. How many people in the band, for how much money? Do they usually have a femal singer as well as male? Thanks for any info and/or recommendations or honest comments about bands you have heard/used.

Band Prices

Band prices vary much like reception hall. I booked Milestone Music (www.milestonemusic2u.com) and am paying $4300- 7 members for reception, with a 2 piece jazz for cocktail hour. The band leader, Dotty is a wonderful person and has an amazing voice. She has been super helpful to me during my planning. Other bands- Full House around $4K, I was told by a friend. Here is one tip that proved very helpful to me in my search- Ask about price before meeting with the band. I did not meet with any bands that were over our budget. Similar to not trying on a $5,000 bridal gown, when you have a $2,000 budget. It just makes the process much harder. E-mail me if you want info on my band. [email protected] Happy Planning.

Band Prices

we are using a 9 piece band that cost us $5,500. Until just reading the last 2 posts, I thought that was reasonable. But, we LOVED the way the band sounded.

Band Prices

We looked into bands in the $4-5000 range (and there's plenty to choose from), there are others that go as high as $10,000+ We heard some great bands - we booked Current Affair (9piece) for $4800. Everyone in the band sings lead. They have one female lead. My dad who was against the band idea and wanted a DJ (so it sounds like the original song) was really impressed with this band. Others on the top of our list were Illusions (7 piece - $4100) and Full House (7piece?). I've heard great things about Timepiece but they were booked for our date. If you wany any contact info, let me know.

Band Prices

Band prices are negotiable when it comes to the number of pieces (or players), the time of day you are having it (afternoon as opposed to evening) and the actual day you are having it (Sunday as opposed to a Saturday). We used all those tips in booking our band. We are having a Saturday afternoon wedding and we couldn't believe the price difference when we first were inquiring about a Saturday night. We booked The Times Square Orchestra (www.timessquaremusic.com) for a Saturday afternoon in May, plus cocktail hour, all 8 pieces for $4000. They have 3-4 male lead singers (one black singer) and a female lead singer. They do showcases too so that you have the opportunity to see them play before you book.

Band Prices

I only looked at bands in the under $5K range. We booked Timepiece (8 pieces)for our Saturday night wedding for 4 hours + piano player for cocktail hour. My band has a lead male and female but several other band members sing too. There isn't much room to negotiate when you are having a Saturday night wedding in Oct but always ask. I also saw several other bands that were very good. I would recommend looking at Paris and Code Bleu - both were about $4300 for a Saturday night.
