So, I've gone to see a couple of bands at showcases over the past few weeks and I've been blown away by the prices! What would you girls say the average price for a band was when you were looking? I'm starting to get disheartened and think we're going to go for a DJ instead.

i am using hank lane who has a bunch of bands- i am using bobby attiko. i post about them all the time because i just about am obsessed with them--- they are pricey but worth every penny. (about $1k per band member).

My brother is an intern for Hank Lane... They are expensive but they really are the BEST!

Bands can run anywhere between $3,500-$20,000. It all depends on how many band members and also the day of the week. Aft or eve wedding can also make a difference in price. I found that a band for $15,000 does not make them any better than a band for $6,000. Look around and try to negogiate. I went with a band because in my family their are no other options, we all love live music. My dad would flip out if I had hired a DJ.
