Thats great I am happy for you that you used nightlife in 1998 when you were married. Me , I am getting married in 2007, Being your such a fan of them , you should see if they are in need of a promoter, because as I said I booked a band , = ARCADIA , & from what I can gather this forum is just to say what bands people have booked, not a dispute forum for whos band is better ,,

Glad you are happy with who you booked. I was just explaining the difference. There are also plenty of brides to be on here that have Niteflight booked for their 2006 and 2007 wedding. It was informational as well to give perspective and an objective opinion. I would think that an opinion of someone who had their wedding and have been to many more would be appreciated. The poster was looking for some feedback. I gave it. I felt it important to give your post perspective as it relates to the subject.

Check out Time Square Orchestra, they're having a showcase in Carle Place on Thursday, Feb. 9.
We booked them on the spot and may just go by the showcase to see what new songs they're working on. They already sent us a list of over 700!

I second Full House! That was my wedding band and when I look back at the video I am amazed at how many people are dancing at all times. They are so much fun and play such a large variety of songs. Feel free to FM me for more details.

I would try Franklin Wayne. He has 5 bands you can choose from. We used TimePiece and loved them. If you go to their website you can hear samples of there music.

No reason to get defensive. I saw Arcadia at a wedding and I did like them, so I was not posting to insult your choice. You suggested that a band that does weddings only is an obvious preference. I just came on to point out that it is not what everyone is looking for, and there is not always a huge difference.
Blu-ize used NF in 1998 and it's still the same band members, so it's not like she's talking about something that is no longer relevant. I've seen many wedding bands so I don't need to go out and learn the difference now. For me, Niteflight was perfect. As someone who had them, I understand Blu-ize very well!!
I'm glad you found a band that you are happy with. I know how great that feels and I don't think that anyone wants to take that feeling away from you.

I saw JK entertainment at an affair I went to and they were wonderful. They were one of our choices until we saw Heart and Soul from daybreaks night

We used Paris and I would DEFINITELY recommend them. It is just about a month after our wedding and we are still getting calls and emails saying how great our band was and people are asking for their contact info. We had a lot of people who prefer a DJ at our wedding and they have changed their opinion after seeing Paris. Definitely go see them at a showcase if you can.
