Band question please

So since we spent most of our budget on the photographer, we decided to do a DJ since it will cost less than a band.
FH told me last night since we are saving on flowers (we decided to do candle center pieces; someone is making it for us plus he has bouquet connections), he wants a 3-5 piece band (reception only).
Most bands at 7 people are 4500-6000.
We really have only 2-3k left to spend.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
I figured since it's a Sunday afternoon wedding, I can get that but maybe I am wrong?

It can't hurt to call and find out some pricing. I found that a lot of vendors were willing to work with me, when I was looking. The band we went with (and LOVED) I thought were really reasonably priced. I highly recommend them! Soul Revival
