I'm going to my first band showcases next week, and I'm just hoping somebody can tell me what I should expect... I know these are free, but I know nothing else. Is there food? Drinks? Or just the music? What's the dress code like? Anything else?
I'm going to one at Crest Hollow on Monday and Fox Hollow on Tuesday, if that makes a difference in what goes on.

all the ones i went too..either give u free soda or juice...and its about an hour long just to show u a sample of what they can do. After the show they will sit and talk w. you and answer any questions

The band showcases are free, you just go there by the time it says it is going to start. By the places you are going, I am figuring you are going to the Franklin Wayne bands. I just went to 2 of those, and they start at 8, no sooner.
Dress is casual, you are just going there to sit in chairs that are set up in front of the band, to listen to them play some songs.
There is no food, although there is usually a waiter for drinks coming in if you want them. I didn't have drinks, but people didn't pay for the soda etc, but I am not sure if they tipped the waiter.
You are going there to basically just hear about 15 songs or so, to see the range of songs the band can play, and if you like how they entertain.
