Band/DJ

Hi All,
I'm new here. ...never posted before. My fiance and I are looking for a combination band/dj. we want someone low key and more traditional. it's not our style to have dry ice, flashy lights etc. We want a combination of old time music (frank sinatra, nat king cole, etc) and faster popular music. Can anyone personally reccommend a band that fits this criteria? I'm a bit lost. Or, can someone tell me, are showcases the way to go? How else would you go about seeing a group play?

thanks so much for your help!

Welcome!

Going to a showcase is definitely the way to go, and you can check out showcases either on this website by going under the 'showcases' section, which, I think is listed under 'Vendors.' Or, you can go to the website of individual bands.

I booked Heart & Soul after seeing them twice and seeing about 6 other bands - I love them and they can play Sinatra, new music and even Latin, 80s, etc. I'd highly recommend them - they are a Franklin Wayne Band.

Other bands a lot of people on here really like are Times Square Orchestra and Renegade or Arcadia (same manager for these last two).

Good luck!

I highly recommend going to a showcase. For us it was so important to see the band live and get a sense of how they really sound. We went with Soul Revival and they were really amazing. Link to Soul Revival website Good luck and Congratulations!!!
